What Work is Taking Place?

As early as 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2021 and lasting through 6:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue East between Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue. Road restoration will take place between 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected between Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue. Traffic Details

• Evenings of August 30 & 31: Restoration of westbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East north of the guideway will be closed between Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue.
• Evenings of August 31 & September 1: Restoration of eastbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East south of the guideway will be closed between Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue. Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected north, with a crossover at Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue.
• The Intersection of Sloane Avenue/Bermondsey Road, and Eglinton Avenue East will be closed for the duration of this work. Traffic will be diverted via Eccleston and Mobile Drives.

What to Expect

Access to Jonesville Crescent and Cranbourne Avenue from Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted for the duration of this work. Driveways between Swift Drive and Victoria Park Avenue will have restricted access for the duration of the work. Properties affected by this restriction will be contacted directly. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.  

Hours of Work

• Beginning Monday, August 30, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m. through to Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.
• Work will take place between 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

Pedestrian Details

• There will be no changes to pedestrian routes

TTC Impacts

• TTC stops located within closed lanes of Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed for the duration of the lane closures.
• TTC stop will be relocated to the east of Victoria Park Ave during the EB lanes closure.
