Final Road Restoration - Eglinton Avenue East - Don Mills Road to the DVP
What Work is Taking Place?
Beginning as early Tuesday, October 19, 8:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue East between Don Mills Raod to DVP ramps. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected between Don Mills Road and the Don Valley Parkway (DVP). Outside of these hours, road operations will continue normally. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- Tuesday, October 19, 8:00 p.m. to Wednesday, October 20, 5:00 a.m.
- Work may be longer or shorter than expected
- Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Restoration of westbound lanes: Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East north of the guideway will be closed between Don Mills Road to the west DVP Ramps. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at Don Mills Road to the west DVP Ramps.
- Restoration of eastbound lanes: Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East south of the guideway will be closed between Don Mills Road to the west DVP Ramps. Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected north, with a crossover at Don Mills Road to the west DVP Ramps.
- Access to Gervais Drive and Ferrand Drive from Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted for the duration of this work.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- There will be no changes to pedestrian routes
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- TTC stops located within closed lanes of Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed for the duration of the lane closures
