Final Road Restoration - Eglinton Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue Intersection
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as 8:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2021 and continuing nightly through 6:00 am Sunday, October 24, 2021, crews will perform road restoration works at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue. To accommodate this work, traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected between the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square. Road restoration will take place between 8:00 pm - 6:00 am. Outside of these hours, road operations will continue normally. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East. For more information, please carefully review the complete notice or visit www.thecrosstown.ca for more information.
What to Expect
Driveways between the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square will have restricted access for the duration of the work. Properties affected by this restriction will be contacted directly. Noise from construction activity including trucks, asphalt removals, paving, and compacting. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present, while this work takes place.
HOURS OF WORK
- Beginning Friday, October 22, 2021 at approximately 8:00 pm through to Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 6:00 am
- Work will take place between 8:00 pm – 6:00 am
- Work may be longer or shorter than expected
- Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Evening of October 22: Restoration of eastbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East south of the guideway will be closed between the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square. Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected north, with a crossover at the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square.
- Evening of October 23: Restoration of westbound lanes. Traffic lanes on Eglinton Avenue East north of the guideway will be closed between the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be redirected south, with a crossover at the Sloane Avenue and Bermondsey Road intersection, and Eglinton Square.
- The intersection of Jonesville Crescent and Victoria Park Avenue will be closed for the duration of this work.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- There will be no changes to pedestrian routes
TTC INFORMATION
- TTC stops located within closed lanes of Eglinton Avenue East will be temporarily closed for the duration of the lane closures.
