Mount Pleasant Installation of Dewatering Wells June 2016

What work is starting?

What: Crews are required to install dewatering wells in advance of the arrival of the tunnel boring machines, Don and Humber. Following the installation, dewatering work will commence as early as late June 2016.

When: Starting as early as May 30, 2016 until late June 2016, construction will begin on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East, east of Mount Pleasant Road. Some work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances. Lire la suite »

Demolition Work for Future Laird Station

What work is starting?

In February 2016, crews began conducting preparatory activities and utilities works including surveying, locating utilities, and drilling boreholes to obtain additional information of sub-surface utilities and ground conditions in the Laird Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East vicinity to make way for the future Laird Station.

Sewer Work – Eglinton Avenue East between Banff Road and Bayview Avenue

What: To prepare for west headwall construction for the future Bayview Station, crews are rehabilitating and upgrading an existing underground sewer on Eglinton Avenue East between east of Banff Road and west of Bayview Avenue. 

When: Work began in December, 2015, and will continue for several weeks. Work may be rescheduled or adjusted due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What:  A temporary Water Shut Off is scheduled for the above noted date. During this time, the water main will be shut off and there will be no water available from the taps.

What:  There will be a temporary water shut off on Saturday, May 9th. Between 6:00am and 9:00am, there will be no water available from the taps.  

When:  Saturday, May 9, 2015, 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.

Where:  Temporary water shut off will be experienced at the following addresses:

  • 20, 30, 40, 50 Eglinton Avenue East (north side)

Cross Passage Headwall Construction near Duncannon Drive Continues - Stage 2

What we are building

Three Hour Parking – Tarlton Road Eglinton Avenue West to College View Avenue

What:  Maximum 3 hour parking will be allowed on Tarlton Road for the duration of this phase of construction on Eglinton Avenue.

Why:  On-street parking will not be available within the vicinity of construction along Eglinton Avenue between Bathurst Street and Avenue Road. To alleviate the loss of parking on Eglinton Avenue during construction, the City of Toronto, in collaboration with Metrolinx, will be adjusting the parking restrictions in certain sections to accommodate parking for the neighbourhood and businesses.     Lire la suite »
