Light Rail Vehicle Delivery and Testing between Laird Dr. and Kennedy Rd.
Starting May 25, six (6) Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) will be moved from the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage Facility (EMSF) to the LRT tracks (guideway) at Rosemount Dr. via truck transport. The LRVs will be delivered one at a time, on May 25, 26, 27, 31 and June 1 and 2.
Overhead Catenary System Energization between Laird Drive and Kennedy Road
On May 3, 2021, the overhead catenary system (OCS) between Laird Drive and Kennedy Road will be energized. Once energized the OCS cables are electrified and dangerous if encountered. It is never safe to go near the OCS. Please obey signage and stay away from all overhead cables.
The OCS installed above the LRT tracks and powers the Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs). Power is delivered from traction power substations located along the alignment to the LRVs via the OCS cables. Lire la suite »

Tower Crane Removal at Kennedy Station April 7, 2021
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be removing a tower crane within the construction zone at Kennedy Station, south of Eglinton Avenue East.

Utility Crossing Work and Track Resurfacing at Kennedy Station's GO Corridor April 2-4, 2021
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews at Kennedy Station continue with GO corridor development, including utility installations. From Friday April 2 until Sunday April 4, crews will be installing utility casing crossings within the GO track area, followed by track resurfacing. Crews will be working from as early as 6:00am until 11:00pm.

Overnight OCS Cable Installation on Eglinton Ave at Laird, Leslie, Sloane & Kennedy. March 1 - April 2
What Work is Taking Place?
Crews will be installing OCS (Overhead Catenary System) cables along Eglinton avenue east between Laird drive, Leslie street, Swift drive, Sloane avenue, and Kennedy road. Overhead catenary is the system installed overtop of the rails of a light rail system, to provide operational power to the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles). Lire la suite »

What Work is Taking Place?
Crews at Rosemount Drive and Eglinton Avenue East continue with utility activities. Overnight on Monday February 8, crews will be inspecting the existing utilities in the area, from as early as 11:30pm until 5:00am on Tuesday February 9. All current traffic restrictions at the intersection will remain in place.
