Thank-you and farewell to the Crosstown’s TBMs!
The Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) project marks another significant milestone the week of March 13th, 2017. Metrolinx will start the process of extracting the tunnel boring machines (TBM) from the completed east tunnels, and say farewell to our faithful helpers, TBM Don and TBM Humber.
What is happening?
The TBMs will be disassembled and lifted from extraction shaft just east of Yonge & Eglinton in four over-sized sections over four days. TBM Don, the machine that bored the north tunnel, will be removed first. Lire la suite »
