Upcoming Concrete Pour at Leaside Station

What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Saturday June 27, 2020, crews at Leaside Station will perform a large concrete pour at the east section of the station box. The concrete will form one of the permanent structures of the future LRT station. Trucks will stage within the work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, east of Bayview Avenue, and at the secondary entrance site. Two concrete pumps will be set up for the pour, one within each of the work zones.
To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 4:00 a.m. and take approximately fourteen (14) hours to complete. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place.

- The pour may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

- Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
- 9+ concrete trucks are expected per hour.
- Site lighting and noise from concrete trucks and pumps.
- Staging of concrete trucks within the north east work zone and secondary entrance site.

Travelling Smart during Construction
Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
