 What Work is Taking Place?

In early July 2016, crews will begin relocation of existing telecommunication (Bell) lines on  the south side of Eglinton Avenue West.  Aerial Bell lines will be relocated to a duct below  ground in preparation for station construction.  For the safety of the public and workers,  temporary pedestrian and traffic changes will be in effect to accommodate this work.

  • Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, 7 days a week
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at their discretion
  • In the event that overnight is required, Metrolinx and CTS will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout
  • This work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances

 What to Expect

  • Nearby businesses and residents can expect increased noise caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment, as well as dust from construction activity and debris removal
