Over the next month, a number of construction activities will take place overnight at Oakwood Station. These overnight activities will take place within the existing construction zone and in the roadway or on the sidewalks along Eglinton Avenue West between Oakwood Ave and Times Road.

The work outside of the existing construction zone will be completed overnight to minimize disruption to traffic, pedestrians and TTC services.

Hours of Work

  • Work on Eglinton Avenue will occur between 11pm and 7am.
  • Overnight work will began in mid-February and be completed in early April.   
  • There are approximately 15 nights of overnight work remaining; there may be more than one activity occurring in any overnight period.
  • Timelines are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

What to expect 

Overnight work will include:

  • Sewer lining - Approximately 6 nights remaining to complete the work.
  • Monitoring Point installation - Approximately 3 nights remaining to complete the work.
  • Leakage detection -Approximately 2 nights remaining to complete the work.
  •  Sewer replacement -Approximately 6 nights remaining to complete the work
  • Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from excavators, bobcats, trucks and other construction equipment.


Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue and Oakwood Avenue.
  • Work in and around the intersection at Eglinton Avenue and Oakwood Avenue will have a Paid Duty Police Officer to support traffic movement.
  • Traffic may be delayed in the area during the permitted work hours.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
