UPDATE: Storm Sewer Installation at Mount Pleasant Station

mars 29, 2018

What Work is Taking Place?

In December 2018, crews began installation of a new storm sewer along the south side of Eglinton Avenue East.  Beginning March 8, storm sewer installation will resume.  The storm sewer will be installed using a hand-mining method whereby pipe is hydraulically pushed from the shafts at Taunton Road and Brownlow Avenue while soil is simultaneously removed.  Once the pipe installation is complete, connection work will be performed to connect the sewer to the existing storm infrastructure.

These works will continue Friday March 30 to Sunday April 1st or until the Taunton Road section is completed.

Crews continue installation of the storm sewer pipe from the Taunton Rd shaft, travelling westbound below-grade toward Mt. Pleasant Rd.
