Over the next month, a number of construction activities will continue to take place overnight at Oakwood Station. These overnight activities will take place within the existing construction zone and in the roadway or on the sidewalks along Eglinton Avenue West between Oakwood Ave and Times Road.

The work outside of the existing construction zone will be completed overnight to minimize disruption to traffic, pedestrians and TTC services.

 Hours of Work

  • Work on Eglinton Avenue will occur between 11pm and 7am.
  • Overnight work will began in mid-February and will be completed in late April.
  •  Timelines are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.

What to expect

  • Overnight work will include:

Additional dewatering wells – approximately 12 nights of work.

-Sewer lining – one remaining night of work between April 16th and 20th

 -Sewer replacement – Postponed indefinitely

 -Monitoring point installation - Completed.

 Leakage detection - Completed.

Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from excavators, bobcats, trucks and other construction equipment.

 Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Northbound left turn will be restricted overnight from 11pm to 7am.
  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue and Oakwood Avenue.
  • Work in and around the intersection at Eglinton Avenue and Oakwood Avenue will have a Paid Duty Police Officer to support traffic movement.
  • Traffic may be delayed in the area during the permitted work hours.
