Backfilling and Grading Works at the Rail Corridor

As part of continued alteration of the Rail Corridor at Weston Road and Eglinton Avenue West, crews are backfilling and grading the south abutment of the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge.

Hours of Work

  • Work is underway and is expected to last for approximately 2-3 weeks.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Nearby residents and businesses can expect noise in the area caused by an excavator, loaders, trucks and other construction equipment, as well as dust from drilling activity and debris removal.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.

Travelling Smart during Construction

  • Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
