What Work is Taking Place? 

On Friday November 30, crews will perform a large concrete pour at Fairbank Station. Crews will pour more than 10,000 cubic meters of concrete to form the roof of the future station.  Several concrete pump will be place and approximately 130 deliveries of concrete will come to the site.

Due to the location and space requirements for this activity, Eglinton Avenue West will be closed from Dufferin Street to Northcliffe Boulevard while this work takes place.  To minimize the impact to the travelling public, this activity will be conducted overnight.  Upon completion of the activity, Eglinton Ave will re-open.

Hours of Work 

  • Friday November 30, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. (overnight) for approximately twelve (12) hours
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled for another date

What to Expect 



  • Eglinton Ave will be closed between Dufferin St and Northcliffe Blvd
  • TTC #32 Eglinton bus will be on detour
  • Noise from construction activity and trucks as well as lighting 
  • Pedestrian changes may be in effect for this activity 
  • A flag person will be present to assist with traffic control 
  • Expect delays when travelling through the intersection
