Emergency Roadway Repairs on Yonge Street at Eglinton Station

mars 13, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

In order to carry out repairs on the asphalt on Yonge Street, crews have shifted traffic on Yonge Street to the west side, closed the north-south crosswalk on the east side of the Yonge-Eglinton intersection, and re-opened the crosswalk on the west. This will be temporary until the repairs are complete on March 16.

On completion, the traffic will revert back to the previous stage to complete the excavation around the TTC Line 1 Subway box.

Hours of Work

  • This traffic configuration is underway and is expected to last until March 16. On completion, the traffic will revert back to the previous stage (second map depicted below).
  • Work is permitted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., 7 days a week.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Occasional overnight work may be required. Metrolinx will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
