mai 9, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

  • As part of developing the ECLRT communication system, crews will be installing a communications antenna mast at the EMSF site.
  • The ECLRT requires a radio system to allow communication among Operator and Maintenance personnel, including dispatchers, mobile staff, and Revenue Vehicle drivers. The system requires 4 radio sites to ensure we have proper radio coverage along the whole ELCRT alignment. Both the Kennedy and EMSF radio sites need 40 m tall antenna masts.
  • The antenna mast at EMSF will have two flashing red lights at the top.  All antennas and antenna masts will be painted in gray colour.

Hours of Work

  • Crews will begin installing the as early as Summer 2019.
  • Work will occur during regular working hours (7am-11pm daily).
  • Occasional overnight work may be required. Metrolinx will notify the public in advance and monitor activities throughout. Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
