Construction Notice: Laneway Closure for Concrete Pours (January 30, 2020)

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday January 30, beginning at 8:00 a.m. crews at Forest Hill will close the Hilltop Road-Bathurst Street laneway behind the Secondary Entrance for a concrete pour. The concrete will form part for the future station’s interior walls. The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be closed for the duration of the pour. Crews will begin as early as 8:00 a.m. for approximately 12 hours.

Hours of Work

• Thursday January 30 from 8:00 a.m. for approximately 12 hours
• The laneway and pedestrian walkways will be closed for the duration of the pour  
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
• This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect

• The Hilltop Rd-Bathurst St laneway will be closed behind the Secondary Entrance site
• The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be temporarily closed during this activity
• Property access will be maintained
• Expect delays when travelling near work zones
• Motorists can expect delays when accessing the laneway

Traffic Details

• No through-access in the Hilltop Rd-Bathurst St laneway will be permitted
• Bathurst St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open during this work
• Peveril Hill Rd N will remain closed at Eglinton during this work
• The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave W will remain closed at Secondary Entrance

Pedestrian Details

• The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Ave W will remain closed at Secondary Entrance
• The pedestrian walkway around the Secondary Entrance site will be temporarily closed during this activity
• Pedestrians can cross Eglinton at Rostrevor Rd to the west and Bathurst St to the east
