What Work is Taking Place?

From Tuesday February 18 to Thursday February 20, 2020, crews will work overnight to connect a temporary power line to the main entrance of Mount Pleasant Station. Work will take place within the work zones, however some overnight work in live traffic is required. 

North of Eglinton Avenue East, Mount Pleasant Road will be reduced to one lane only at the intersection, alternating traffic in each direction. Pedestrians may experience intermittent sidewalk interruptions, while this work takes place. Access to the driveway at 801 Mount Pleasant Road will be maintained at all times. Please see the “Work Area Map” for more information. 

To minimize the impact to the travelling public, this work will be performed overnight from 7:00 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

Tuesday, February 18 – Thursday, February 20, 2020

7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. 

Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

Utility vehicles will occupy the northbound lane on Mount Pleasant Road.

Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

Noise from construction activities can be expected. 

Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
