What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday March 5, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour at the service building for Fairbank Station. Work will begin as early as 9:00am and the pour will be ongoing until approximately 3:00pm. The concrete will form the concourse level flooring. Concrete pumps will be placed within the alleyway behind the service building. Vehicular and pedestrian access will be restricted throughout the duration of the pour. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.  

Hours of Work

  • As early as Thursday March 5, 2020.  
  • The concrete pour will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last for approximately 6 hours.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

What to Expect

 

  • The laneway behind the service building, south of Eglinton Ave W, west of Dufferin St, will be temporarily closed.
  • Property access will be maintained.
  • Expect delays while travelling near work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • The pedestrian routes at the intersection will remain the same.
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
