Update: Extended Hours for Excavation at Chaplin Station March 9-14, 2020
Since fall 2019, excavation has been underway at Chaplin Station. Excavation of the Tertiary Entrance shaft is now complete, and excavation continues at the Main Entrance, located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Chaplin Crescent and Gilgorm Road (the former Chaplin Parkette), as well as beneath the station roof. Using excavators, soil is removed from the station box and entrances, and loaded into dump trucks that haul the excavated soils to an off-site facility. Beginning Monday March 9, 2020, excavation and hauling will take place 24 hours through Saturday March 14, 2020.
