Update: Cross Passage 10 at Eglinton Avenue East and Lillian Street

avril 7, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Excavation of the cross passage at Eglinton Avenue East and Lillian Street is complete. The north and south tunnels are now connected, allowing the next phase of construction to begin.

Crews will start permanent works within the cross passage, forming the final structure of the corridor since mid-March. Permanent works, including rebar installation, waterproofing, and concrete pours, will take approximately four (4) months to complete. Work will take place on a 24-hour basis.

The dewatering system, located on the south-east corner of Lillian Street, will continue to operate on a 24-hour basis, until the permanent works are complete. The second generator will remain in place as a backup. The generators will not operate at the same time.

Periodic dewatering and monitoring maintenance will continue along Eglinton Avenue East, Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
