What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday, March 30, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour within the work zone on the northside of Eglinton Avenue West at Oakwood Avenue. The concrete will form one of the permanent structures of Oakwood Station. To safely carry out the works, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while the pour takes place. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and take approximately fourteen (14) hours to complete.

  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
  • Noise from construction equipment can be expected.
  • Staging of concrete trucks within the work zone on the northside of Eglinton Avenue West.

 

Traffic and Pedestrian Changes

  • Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction, while the pour takes place.
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.
  • All pedestrian routes will remain the same.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
