Line Painting at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East - Monday, May 4, 2020

On Monday, May 4, 2020, crews will perform line painting along Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East. As part of this work, the traffic lines and pedestrian walkways at the intersection will be repainted.

To safely complete the works, crews will temporarily occupy lanes on Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East for short periods of time. Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction, while this work takes place.

Work will begin as early as 9:30 a.m. and take approximately three (3) hours to complete. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

As early as 9:30 a.m. for approximately three (3) hours.

Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

Line painting works will take place along Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East. 

Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.

 

Traffic and Pedestrian Changes

Short-term lane occupancy on Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction.

All pedestrian routes are expected to remain the same.

Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
