What Work is Taking Place?

On Tuesday September 1, crews at Caledonia will be pouring concrete to form a wall connecting to the stations roof. During the pour, westbound Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way. Lane reductions will begin as early as 7:00am and last for approximately six hours.

What to Expect

One westbound lane on Eglinton Ave will be occupied between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way while this work takes place. Concrete trucks will be entering and exiting the workzone. Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Tuesday September 1, 2020
  • Lane reductions will begin at approximately 7:00am and last for approximately six hours.
  • The contractor may not always work during permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Periodic sidewalk interruptions – pedestrians will be rerouted to temporary sidewalk
  • All crosswalks will be maintained.
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • One westbound lane on Eglinton Ave will be occupied between Blackthorne Ave and Gabian Way.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.

OTHER IMPACTS

  • Minimal noise from construction equipment such as concrete trucks and construction vehicles.
