Overnight Chipping Activities at Avenue Station - September 15, 2020
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Tuesday September 15, 2020, crews at Avenue Station will begin chipping a concrete wall located inside the Secondary Entrance site. Chipping is the process of using an excavator and jackhammer to remove concrete and hardened material.
To perform this work safely, crews will be required to work through the overnight period. Periodic chipping activities are expected to take place Monday to Friday between 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m., and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., for approximately one (1) week. No overnight work is expected to take place on Saturday and Sunday.
What to Expect
Periodic chipping and removal of concrete can be expected, while this work takes place. During these works, nearby properties may experience noise and/or vibration. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible. Truck entry and egress from the work zone can be expected.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Tuesday September 15, 2020 for approximately one (1) week
- Chipping activities are expected to take place Monday to Friday between 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. and Saturday between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- No overnight work is expected to take place on Saturday and Sunday

- No changes to the current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
