What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday November 5, 2020, crews will work overnight to perform wet utility works within the existing work zone on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, east of Lascelles Blvd.

A water shut-off is required to facilitate this work. The water shut-off will take place overnight on Thursday November 5, 2020. Please carefully review the ‘Water Shut-off Details’ section to determine whether your property will be affected.

Water Shut-off Details

A water shut-off will take place on Thursday November 5, 2020 beginning at 10:00 p.m. for approximately seven (7) hours.  The following properties will be affected:

  • 174 Eglinton Avenue West
  • 200 Eglinton Avenue West (North Toronto Memorial Community Centre)

Please note that the water shut-off may be longer or shorter than expected.  The shut-off may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

A water shut-off is required to facilitate this work. Overnight noise from construction equipment, including a hydro-vacuum truck and excavator, can be expected. Expect the use of site lighting within the work zones. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Thursday November 5, 2020
  • The water shut-off will begin at 10:00 p.m. and last approximately seven (7) hours
  • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances  

UTILITY INTERRUPTIONS

  • Water will be shut off for the duration of this work
  • Affected properties are
    • 174 Eglinton Avenue West
    • 200 Eglinton Avenue West (North Toronto Memorial Community Centre)

TRAFFIC & PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • There is no change to the current traffic configuration and pedestrian routes associated with this work
