Lane Reduction for Sedimentation Tank Removal at Caledonia Station - April 29, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday, April 29, crews at Caledonia Station will be removing a sedimentation tank from the work zone using a crane. During this work, crews will be occupying two lanes on the north side of Eglinton Ave W, west of Blackthorn Ave. One lane in each direction will remain open around the work zone. Lane closures will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. on April 29 and last until approximately 11:00 a.m. Lanes will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

 

What to Expect

Two lanes on the north side of Eglinton Ave will be occupied west of Blackthorne Ave. Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • Thursday, April 29, 2021
  • Lane reductions will begin at approximately 7:00am and last for approximately four hours
  • The contractor may not always work during permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Crews will be occupying two lanes on the north side of Eglinton, west of Blackthorn Ave.
  • One lane in each direction will remain open for the duration of the sedimentation tank removal.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • Periodic sidewalk interruptions – pedestrians will be rerouted to temporary sidewalk
  • All crosswalks will be maintained
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations
