UPDATE: Road Restoration from Rosemount Drive to Ionview Road

What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning Wednesday May 26, 2021, crews will perform road restoration activities along Eglinton Avenue East between Rosemount Drive and Ionview Road. Partial driveway closures will be required to facilitate this work. Affected properties will be notified directly. Please carefully review ‘Driveway Closure Details’ and ‘What to Expect’.

Driveway Closure Details

• Partial driveway closures will be required at each of the following properties:
  • 2283 Eglinton Avenue East (3 driveways)
  • 2293 Eglinton Avenue East (1 driveway)
  • 2303 Eglinton Avenue East (2 driveways)

• Driveway closures will begin with the most easterly driveway at 2303 Eglinton Ave E and continue westward until the work is complete
• Driveway closures at each property are expected to last for approx. 1 week
• One half of the driveway will be closed at a time to maintain vehicle access with assistance from traffic control personnel

What to Expect

Noise from road restoration activities, including removal of asphalt, installation of sub drains, and asphalt work can be expected. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the work zone. Motorists may experience delays with travelling through the affected areas. 

HOURS OF WORK

• Driveway closures will take place between Wednesday May 26 and Tuesday June 15, 2021. 
• Road restoration work will take place 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
• Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
• Work may take longer or shorter than expected

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Partial driveway closures will be in effect at 2283, 2293 and 2303 Eglinton Ave E
• Vehicle access will be maintained with assistance from traffic control personnel
• All other existing traffic conditions will remain in effect

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• Pedestrians will be rerouted around the work zone
