Sidewalk Reduction at Latimer Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West - August 23, 2021
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Monday August 23, 2021, crews at Chaplin Station will begin to decommission the dewatering system at Latimer Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. A hydro-vacuum truck will be required to complete this work. To perform the works safely, the sidewalk on the west side of Latimer Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue West, will be reduced for approximately two (2) days. Decommissioning works are expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. for approximately one (1) week.
What to Expect
Noise from construction equipment, including a hydro-vacuum truck, can be expected for the duration of this work. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption as much as possible while this work takes place. Advance signage will be installed to direct pedestrians around the work zone.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday August 23, 2021 for approximately one (1) week
- This work is expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- No changes to current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk on the west side of Latimer Avenue, north of Eglinton Avenue West, will be reduced for approximately two (2) days
