Pedestrian Route Change at Forest Hill Station’s Main Entrance - October 5, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday October 12, 2021, the pedestrian detour around Forest Hill Station’s Main Entrance site will close to allow crews to safely perform structural works above-ground. This configuration is expected to remain in place through January 2022. Signage will be in place to direct pedestrians around the closure.

What to Expect

There will be no access to the pedestrian detour around Forest Hill Station’s Main Entrance site. Property access will be maintained at all times.

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Tuesday October 12, 2021, until approximately January 2022
  • The closure will remain in place 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The pedestrian detour around Forest Hill Station’s Main Entrance site will close
  • Pedestrians wanting to cross to the south side of Eglinton Avenue West, east of Bathurst Street, will need to do so at Old Forest Hill Road – approximately 177 metres east of Bathurst Street
  • All four crosswalks at the Eglinton and Bathurst intersection are expected to remain open
  • Signage will be in place to direct pedestrians around the closure
