Sidewalk Restoration Work at Chaplin Station as early as July 11, 2022

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, July 11, 2022, crews at Chaplin Station will begin sidewalk restoration works on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West, east of the Tertiary Entrance (refer to map). To perform this work safely, pedestrians will be temporarily diverted north around the work zone. Construction equipment including an excavator, concrete truck, and hand tools will be required to complete this work.

What to Expect

Full removal and reconstruction of the sidewalk east of Chaplin Station’s Tertiary Entrance. Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be in effect, while this work takes place. Noise from construction activities including concrete breaking, excavation, hammering, and trucks can be expected. Advance signage and fencing will be installed to delineate pedestrians from the work zone.                                                    

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Monday, July 11, 2022, between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., for approximately two (2) weeks
  • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

  • Pedestrians will be diverted north around the work zone
