Final Paving of Driveway Segments – Laird Drive to Sloane Avenue
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Thursday, September 15, 2022, crews will perform road restoration works on Eglinton Avenue East between Laird Drive and Sloane Avenue. The restoration works will target the segments of road abutting driveways on Eglinton Avenue. Work zones will remain within the public right of way. Affected driveways will be restricted for the duration of the work at that location, for a period of approximately 2 hours, and no longer than 4 hours. One driveway will remain open to traffic at all times. Properties that do not have a second driveway will not have the area in front of their driveway restored during this work.
Thursday, September 15, 2022: Work will take place in the eastbound and westbound lanes, along driveways on the south and north side of Eglinton Avenue East between Laird Drive and Sloane Avenue.
What to Expect
Road restoration will take place along the driveways abutting the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East. Noise from construction activity, including trucks and use of heavy equipment can be expected. Construction vehicles and trucks will stage within work zones and traffic tapers. Traffic barrels, fencing, and signage will be in place to delineate work zones. Access to businesses, properties, and TTC will be maintained. Affected driveways will be restricted for the duration of the work at that location, for a period of approximately 2 hours, and no longer than 4 hours. One driveway will remain open to traffic at all times. Expect delays while travelling.
HOURS OF WORK
- Thursday, September 15, 2022.
- Work will take place from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- A temporary lane reduction will be in place for the duration of the work.
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue East.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- Pedestrians will be rerouted around the work zone
