What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Friday, October 7, 2022, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Forest Hill Station.

Traffic on Bathurst Street will shift to the west side of the road and construction will move to the east side. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will remain on the north side of the road. The northbound left turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be reinstated. The southbound left turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be reinstated. The southbound right turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be restricted. All other turn restrictions will remain the same. This traffic configuration will remain in place for approximately one (1) month.

What to Expect

Overnight noise can be expected while the traffic changes are being implemented. Expect delays while traveling through the intersection. Utility, road, and sidewalk restoration works will continue on Eglinton Avenue West and Bathurst Street during this traffic stage. During these activities, noise from construction equipment such as excavators, jackhammers, trucks, and hand tools can be expected. Concrete barriers, fencing and traffic barrels will be in place to delineate work zones.

HOURS OF WORK

  • The new traffic configuration will be implemented as early as Friday, October 7, 2022, and will remain in place for approximately one (1) month
  • Overnight work may be required to implement the traffic changes  
  • This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Traffic on Bathurst Street will shift to the west side of the road
  • Traffic on Eglinton Avenue will remain on the north side of the road
  • The northbound left turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be reinstated
  • The southbound left turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be reinstated
  • The southbound right turn from Bathurst Street to Eglinton Avenue will be restricted
  • All other turn restrictions will remain in place

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The crosswalk on the east side of the intersection will be closed
