Sidewalk Restoration Work at Chaplin Station - As early as October 12, 2022
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Wednesday, October 12, 2022, crews at Chaplin Station will begin sidewalk restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Spadina Road and Chaplin Crescent. Sidewalk restoration will also take place on the west side of Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue. This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks. Temporary walkways will be created to maintain pedestrian access during the work.
What to Expect
Full removal and reconstruction of the sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue between Spadina Road and Chaplin Crescent, and on the west side of Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue. Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be in effect while this work takes place. Noise from construction activities including concrete breaking, excavation, hammering, and trucks can be expected. Advance signage and fencing will be installed to delineate pedestrians from the work zone.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Wednesday October 12, 2022, between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., for approximately two (2) weeks
- This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work
- Chaplin Crescent will remain closed during this work
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- Pedestrians will be rerouted around the work zones
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
