CONCRETE POUR AT LAIRD STATION
June 1, 2020
On June 1, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour at the main entrance of Laird Station. Work will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and the pour will be ongoing until approximately 11:00 p.m. Laird Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East will remain open while work takes place.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Four trucks will be staged at a time at the main entrance site.
- Because concrete pours require continuous supply of concrete, truck staging area will occupy one southbound lane on Laird Drive.
- Noise can be expected from concrete trucks and pumps.
HHOURS OF WORK
- As early as June 1, 2020 for one (1) day.
- The concrete pour will begin at 5:00 a.m. and continue until 11:00 p.m.
- In the event of inclement weather, this work may be rescheduled.
TRAFFIC IMPACTS
- A temporary closure of one southbound lane on Laird Drive south of Eglinton Avenue East.
- Traffic control personnel and a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place.
- Increased truck traffic travelling through the area.
PEDESTRIAN AND TTC IMPACTS
- There will be no new impacts to existing pedestrian routes or TTC stops.
