What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future surface alignment for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be constructing new sidewalks and curbs and performing driveway tie-ins on the south side of Eglinton Avenue east, west of Jonesville Crescent. Work is expected to begin as early as June 17, 2020 for a period of three (3) weeks.

Hours of Work
- Work will begin as early as June 17, 2020 for a period of three (3) weeks.
- Work may be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
What to Expect
- Crews will be completing final sidewalk, curb and driveway construction.
- Construction activities will include:
o Asphalt and concrete removals
o Excavation
o Backfill
o Compaction
o Final asphalt and concrete works
- Noise and dust from construction equipment and vehicles can be expected.
Traffic Details
- Closure of the eastbound curb lane on Eglinton Ave E between Jonesville Crescent and 1765 Eglinton Avenue East.
- A minimum of one lane in each direction will be maintained during this work.
- Access for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
Pedestrian Details
- The sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East will be rerouted north of the work zone between Jonesville Crescent and 1765 Eglinton Avenue East.
TTC Details
- There will be no changes to the current TTC bus stops.
- Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
