The original Gallery City concept was conceived in 2013, in partnership between the York-Eglinton BIA and Hogtown Mascots, under the artistic direction of John Kernaghan. It ran for approximately three months in the Oakwood and Eglinton community.

Gallery City 2017 was a joint initiative of Metrolinx, Crosslinx Transit Solutions – Constructors (CTSC), the seven Eglinton Business Improvement Areas (BIAs), and a variety of Eglinton businesses between Weston Road and Laird. Gallery City partnered with local non-profit arts organizations along Eglinton Avenue, including Urban Arts, NIA Centre for the Arts, Art Starts and the Artbarn School.

Thank you to everyone who participated! You all helped make Gallery City 2017 a great success!
