What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the ongoing construction for the future surface alignment of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, crews will be performing boulevard restoration works on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East between Rosemount Drive and Ionview Road. Partial or full driveway closures may be required to perform grading works to align driveways with the new road surface on Eglinton Avenue East.
Driveways may be restricted partially or fully beginning May 6, 2020 for up to three (3) weeks.
Hours of Work
• Work will begin as early as May 6, 2020 for approximately three (3) weeks.
• Work may occur between the hours of 7:00a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
• This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect
• Closure of the east driveway at 2354-2356 Eglinton Avenue East. Access will be maintained via the west driveway.
• Partial closure of both driveways at 2360 Eglinton Avenue East. The work be performed in sections so that half of the driveway will be open for vehicular access. Crews will direct traffic as required.
• Signage will be installed directing motorists to available entrances and exits.
• Crews will be constructing new sidewalks and curbs and tying in driveways to the newly widened road.
• Excavators, dump trucks, concrete trucks and pumps, curb machine and road rollers may be required onsite for these activities.
• Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected, site lighting may be required.
Traffic & Pedestrian Impacts
• Daily lane restrictions may occur during working hours.
• A minimum of one lane of eastbound and westbound through traffic will be maintained during this work
• Pedestrian routes will be maintained throughout this work.
• Should pedestrians be required to detour around the work zone via a temporary sidewalk, directional signage will be installed.
TTC Impacts
• No changes to the existing TTC stops for this work.
• Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers
Travelling Smart During Construction
Travel delays are expected with Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
