WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
To facilitate continued progress on the support of excavation works (shoring) for the future Kennedy Station, crews will be working until 11 PM on a regular basis beginning as early as January 7th, 2019.
This will occur until early February 2019. Additional notice will be provided should this be extended.
The work taking place is in the station box, east of Kennedy Road.
TIMING
- Work is expected to start as early as January 7th, 2019 and be completed in early February 2019.
- Support of excavation (SOE) work will be performed between the hours of 6 AM and 11 PM, Monday to Friday.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect to hear trucks, excavators, backhoes, a pile drill, drill rig, crane, concrete trucks, and other construction equipment and may experience dust from drilling activity and debris removal.
- Truck traffic entering and exiting the work zone can be expected.
- In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment, material storage and movement within designated work zones.
- Noise and vibrations may be heard and felt in the buildings surrounding the construction zone.
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS
- Current traffic and pedestrian impacts will remain the same until mid-late January.
