What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday September 7, 2021, crews at Avenue Station will perform a concrete pour at the Main Entrance site. To safely carry out the works, westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance. The concrete pour will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and will take approximately 12 hours to complete. Crews will endeavor to minimize disruption caused by this work. 

What to Expect

Noise from construction activity, including concrete trucks and pumps, can be expected. Please note that concrete trucks must remain running to allow for continuous turning of the mixer and to discharge concrete; 5+ concrete trucks are expected per hour. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • Tuesday September 7, 2021
  • The pour will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. for approximately 12 hours
  • This work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane at the Main Entrance site

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work
