What Work is Taking Place?

On Friday June 12, crews will perform a concrete pour to a wall at track level. Work will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and the pour will be ongoing for approximately 12 hours. Concrete pumps will be placed within the secondary entrance work zone on the northwest corner of the intersection, and in the alleyway behind the service building. In the alleyway, vehicular access will be restricted, however pedestrian access will be maintained. Concrete trucks will be staged on Dynavor Road, and on Eglinton Avenue W, west of Shortt St. Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open while work takes place.

Hours of Work

  • Friday June 12, 2020
  • The concrete pour will begin as early as 6:00 a.m. and last for approximately 12 hours. The laneway behind the service building will be closed for the entire duration
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

What to Expect

  • The laneway behind the service building, south of Eglinton Ave W, west of Dufferin St, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic
  • Noise from concrete trucks can be expected
  • Local and pedestrian access will be maintained
  • Property access will be maintained
  • Expect delays while travelling near work zones

Traffic & Pedestrian Details

  • The pedestrian routes at the intersection will remain the same
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained
  • No impacts to TTC bus service

Travelling Smart during Construction 

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
