What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Fairbank continue to perform large concrete pours. On Tuesday November 24, crews will be pouring a wall within the station box. Work will begin as early as 6:00am and the pours will be ongoing for approximately nine hours. Concrete pumps will be placed in the laneway parallel to Eglinton Ave W, south of the intersection. Concrete trucks will be staged on Dynevor Rd. The laneway parallel to Eglinton Ave W between Dynevor Rd and Dufferin St will be closed for the duration of the pour. Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open while this work takes place. 

 

What to Expect

Concrete trucks will be staged on Dynevor Rd, south of Eglinton Ave W. Access to properties along Eglinton Ave W, Dufferin St, and Dynevor Rd will be maintained. Noise from concrete trucks can be expected. 

 

HOURS OF WORK

Tuesday November 24

The concrete pours will begin as early as 6:00am and last for approximately nine hours

The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion

Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances

This work may be longer or shorter than expected

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

The laneway between Dufferin St and Dynevor Rd will be closed to all vehicular traffic for the duration of the pour

Concrete trucks will be staged on Dynevor Rd

Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

Periodic sidewalk interruptions – pedestrians will be rerouted to temporary sidewalk

All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

 

OTHER IMPACTS

Noise from construction equipment such as concrete trucks and construction vehicles
