What Work is Taking Place?

Crews at Fairbank continue to perform large concrete pours. On Monday September 14, crews will be pouring walls, curbs, and sections of tunnel. Work will begin as early as 7:00am and the pour will be ongoing for approximately six hours. Concrete pumps will be placed within the Main Entrance workzone and within the secondary entrance workzone. Concrete trucks will be staged on Dufferin St, south of Eglinton Ave W, and on Eglinton Ave W, west of Dufferin St. Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open while this work takes place.

 

What to Expect

Concrete trucks will be staged on Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St. Access to properties along Eglinton Ave W, Dufferin St, and Vaughan Rd will be maintained. Noise from concrete trucks can be expected.

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • Concrete trucks will be staged on Eglinton Ave W within the secondary entrance work zone, within the Main Entrance workzone, and on Dufferin St, south of the Eglinton Ave W.
  • Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open.

 

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

  • Periodic sidewalk interruptions – pedestrians will be rerouted to temporary sidewalk
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • Monday, September 14
  • The concrete pours will begin as early as 7:00am and last for approximately six hours.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

 

OTHER IMPACTS

  • Noise from construction equipment such as concrete trucks and construction vehicles.
