Concrete Pour at Leaside Station

Bayview Ave and Eglinton Ave East

What Work is Taking Place?

The Leaside team will be performing a large concrete pour at the main entrance site of the future Leaside Station on December 18, 2019. To perform the work safely, lane restrictions and pedestrian detours will be in place for the duration of the pour (depicted below).

Timing

  • Preparatory work will begin as early as 7:00 p.m. on December 17, 2019. Lane restrictions and pedestrian detours will be implemented for mobilization and staging of equipment and pumps.
  • The concrete pour will occur beginning at 4:00 a.m. on December 18 through to 12:00 a.m. on December 19, 2019

What to Expect

  • A large concrete pour will be performed at the main entrance work zone (southeast corner of Eglinton Ave E and Bayview).

  • Lane restrictions and pedestrian detours are required to complete this work safely.
  • Noise from concrete trucks and pumps can be expected.
  • Traffic delays can be expected for the duration of the pour, Please allow extra time for your journey.

Traffic Impacts

  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
  • All left turns in the intersection will be restricted.
  • The northbound right turn will be restricted at the intersection.
