What Work Is Taking Place?
Through 2022, concrete pours and material deliveries will continue to take place within the work zones on the north side of Eglinton Avenue, east and west of Yonge Street, and at the Salvation Army site on Cowbell Lane. The concrete will form the walls of the Salvation Army Building and the permanent utility structures located above the Eglinton LRT Station roof. Periodic rolling lane closures will be required to facilitate this work. During some pours and deliveries, Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane only, alternating traffic in each direction. These activities are expected to take place on a weekly basis between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
What to Expect
Concrete pours and deliveries will occur approximately three-five times per week. Short duration lane closures on Eglinton Avenue. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. Noise from construction activity, including trucks. Property access will be maintained. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
