As early as Wednesday August 12, 2020, crews at Mount Pleasant Station will perform concrete pours within the main and secondary entrances on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East. The concrete will form one of the permanent station structures underground. Work will begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. and is expected to take six (6) hours to complete. 

 

Concrete trucks will stage along Eglinton Avenue East, Mount Pleasant Road, and within the work zones. Two concrete pumps will be set up inside the work zones, one at the each of the station entrances.  Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present while this work takes place. 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Noise from construction equipment, including concrete trucks and pumps. Several trucks entering/exiting the site every hour, as well as trucks staging around work zones. 

 

HOURS OF WORK

As early as Wednesday August 12, 2020  

Work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and is expected to take approximately six (6) hours to complete. 

This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. 

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

Concrete trucks will stage along Eglinton Avenue East, Mount Pleasant Road, and within the work zones.

No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work.

 

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

No changes to pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
