CELESTICA BRIDGE TO WYNFORD DRIVE

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Guideway construction is underway along Eglinton Avenue East between the Celestica bridge to west of Don Mills Road. To facilitate upcoming guideway duct bank pours, periodic single lane closures of one (1) eastbound or westbound lane will be required on October 29 and 30, 2019 beginning as early as 5:00 a.m. Temporary lane closures are required for the staging of concrete trucks and pumps.


TIMING

  • October 29, 2019 5:00 a.m. – 5:00p.m.
    • Concrete pour and temporary closure of the inner eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue East between the Don Valley Parkway East and the Wynford Drive Bridge.
  • October 30, 2019 5:00 a.m. – 5:00p.m.
    • Concrete pour and temporary closure of the inner westbound lane on Eglinton Avenue East between the Don Mills Road and the Don Valley Parkway Bridge.
  • October 30, 2019 5:00 a.m. – 5:00p.m.
    • Concrete pour and temporary closure of the inner eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue East between the Celestica Bridge and Don Mills Road.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled or extended due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Concrete barriers will be temporarily removed to access guideway work zone for concrete pour.
  • Periodic single lane closures of one (1) eastbound or westbound lane to accommodate the staging of concrete trucks and pumps.
  • Guideway construction includes cutting and removal of asphalt, excavation, installation of subgrade materials, duct bank and track drainage installation, and track slab and stop construction.
