What Work is Taking Place?
Crews have been completing periodic overnight wet utility and hydro utility installation work at Forest Hill Station since September 2018. This work will continue through November 30, 2018, in preparation for moving construction to the north side of Eglinton Avenue. Due to the location of these activities in the roadway on Eglinton Avenue West and Bathurst Street, Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one (1) lane only between Hilltop Road and Old Forest Hill Road, while this work takes place. Traffic control personnel will be used to alternate traffic in each direction.
Hours of Work
- Ongoing until November 30, 2018
- 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m., Monday through Sunday
- Crews may not work every day during this period
- Work may be delayed or extended due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather
Construction Staging
What to Expect
- Traffic on Eglinton Ave W will be reduced to one (1) lane only, alternating in each direction
- Traffic will be controlled by a Paid Duty Officer and/or traffic control personnel
- Noise from construction activity and site lighting can be expected
- Trucks will access the laydown area via Peveril Hill N
- Delays can be expected when travelling through the intersection
