WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?
As early as Monday, July 1st 2019, crews along the Rail Corridor will be using the access gate on Locust St. Small equipment will be dropped off into the work zone via Locust St as early as Monday July 1st, and picked up again on Thursday, July 4th. Residents may expect to see pickup trucks using the gate throughout next week (July 1 – 4).
TIMING
- Access to the rail corridor via Locust St to begin as early as Monday July 1 for approximately four (4) days.
- Crews are expected to work 7am-11pm daily. Occasional overnight and weekend work may be required and has been communicated separately.
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Nearby residents and businesses can expect some noise in the area caused by trucks and other construction equipment, as well as dust from debris removal.
- Truck traffic entering and exiting the work zone via Locust St.
- In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage.
TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS
- TTC bus routes will be maintained.
- Access to Weston Rd and Eglinton Ave will be maintained.
- All existing sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.
