What Work is Taking Place?
In support of construction of the future At Grade stops, crews will be conducting new street light installation and civil works on Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue starting as early as Monday, August 27th, 2018 with an anticipated completion date of December 2018.
Hours of Work
- Beginning as early as Monday, August 27, 2018 until approximately December 2018.
- Time: work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Note: Unexpected circumstances (weather, equipment failure, etc.) may also change the above interruption plans or prolong the interruption. If this occurs, we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice.
What to Expect
- New street lights will be installed along the north and south side of Eglinton Avenue East between Victoria Park Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue.
- Work will be performed within a protected work zone.
- Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from excavators, bobcats, trucks and other construction equipment caused by construction activity.
- Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
- Property access will be maintained.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
Pedestrian Impacts
- Sidewalks will be maintained; in certain areas, pedestrians will be redirected to alternate sidewalks via directional signage.
