What Work is Taking Place?
Beginning November 9, 2020, crews at Kennedy Station will begin construction on the new GO East platform. Excavation will take place for approximately two weeks followed by concrete works, backfill, electrical works and platform construction. Excavation will take place up to the fence line. The construction of platform will take approximately eight (8) months. Updates will be provided as work progresses
What to Expect
Due to the nature of this work, noise and minimal vibration can be expected at the work site during working hours.
HOURS OF WORK
• Work will generally take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.
• Work may occasionally be extended to 11:00 p.m.
• Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.
PEDESTRIAN, TRAFFIC AND TTC DETAILS
• There will be no impacts to existing pedestrian routes.
• There will be no impacts to the existing traffic configuration.
• There will be no impacts to current TTC bus stop locations.
• There will be no impacts to current GO Operations
OTHER DETAILS
• Noise and minimal vibration can be expected at the work site.
